New Jersey recognizes specific conditions and illnesses to qualify for medical marijuana. After a complete hisrory and physical, the following conditions and illnesses are recognized by New Jersey to qualify for the use of medical marijuana:

 

  • Anxiety
  • Chronic Pain of Visceral Origin
  • Chronic Pain Related to Musculoskeletal Disorders
  • Migraine
  • Tourette's Syndrome
  • Seizure disorder, including epilepsy if resistant to conventional therapy
  • Intractable skeletal spasticity if resistant to conventional therapy
  • Glaucoma if resistant to conventional 
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Terminal Cancer
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease
  • Terminal illness with prognosis of less than 12 months to live
  • Severe or Chronic pain, severe nausea or vomiting, cachexia or wasting syndrome which result from the condition or treatment of: Positive status for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or cancer.
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Requirements

 Registration with New Jersey

 

You will need to submit specific documentation and identification to the state of New Jersey to enroll in the Medical Marijuana Program (NJMMP).  All information can be found directly from https://njmmp.nj.gov .  If there are any registration issues, please call the office or the NJ state customer service line at 609-292-0424.
